Health is Multi-Dimensional
Chrysalis Holistic Chiropractic aims to provide a unique and holistic healing environment for you to overcome pain and discomfort in order to achieve your goals, optimal health, and wellness. Many chiropractors believe that focusing on structural health in the form of adjustments and muscle work is all that is important.
But in reality, health is made up of three things:
structural health, emotional health, and nutritional health.
We give attention to all aspects of health in order to understand what is the root cause of your symptoms. By giving proper attention to all three aspects, we can further help you reach your goals.
After finding the root cause, we have a variety of therapy methods to choose from to perfectly fit you and your needs. This way, you can have a more well-balanced, personalized, drug-free, and non-invasive care plan so that you can become a better you.
Chiropractic Adjustments
Chiropractic adjustments are a quick and safe way to create a dramatic change in your body. They are used on restricted joints and can be applied to any joint in the body - in the spine, arms, or legs. Adjustments are a quick, safe, painless, and effective way to introduce normal motion into a restricted joint to ultimately reduce pain, improve muscle tension, and have you moving more freely.
Nutritional Evaluation
Our biochemistry depends on what we put in our bodies. Are you getting enough calories for your daily activities? Are you getting enough protein, carbohydrates, and fats to support your energy and growth? Are you getting enough vitamins and minerals to help your cells? Nutrition evaluations will help determine deficiencies which may be causing your pain, dysfunction, fatigue, lack of energy, etc.
Neuro-Emotional Therapy
We all suffer from stress, whether it is due to a past, present, or future event. Oftentimes, we do not even realize the event that may manifest as problems in our present life in the form of physical pain or emotional turmoil. With NET, we can identify and bring awareness to these stressors so that we can separate ourselves from the negativity that they bring upon us.
Cranial Therapy
Did you know your skull is made up of 14 different bones and they all move as you breathe in and out? When your skull bones are not allowed to move, you may suffer from TMJ dysfunction, headaches, drowsiness, etc. Cranial adjusting can help restore normal movement to the skull, alleviate discomforts, and improve oxygen intake and nutrition to the brain.
Specific Muscle Evaluation
Muscles are required to move our bodies as we go about our daily activities. Frequently, one or more of the 650 muscles in our bodies do not activate when they are meant to. Very often, inactive muscles are also found in areas that we have pain. With specific muscle testing, we can quickly and efficiently identify these inactive muscles and find a way to restore the muscles to proper function.
Muscle Release Therapy
AKA Myofascial Release Therapy or Soft Tissue Therapy. Muscles move joints, and every single muscle and joint is connected by a thin layer of connective tissue, called fascia. Both muscles and fascia knots need care. With both adjustments and muscle release therapy, like cross-friction massage, Theragun, and scraping (IASTM), we can more effectively remove these knots, pain and tension.
Rehab Exercises
Muscles need to stay activated to properly stabilize and support your joints. Targeted rehab exercises for the muscles related to your specific problem will speed up your recovery from injury and pain, and will keep you out of pain longer. We do not give you a 10-week workout plan to heal yourself. What we do is coach you through a few key exercises that will most benefit you.
Functional Taping
Taping has become a popular and important accessory for athletes to improve recovery by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation, but it can help just about anyone. Taping is used to assist in creating stability, activating muscles, and reducing pain by familiarizing your body to new movement patterns and postures.
Posture Correction
Our bodies naturally want to find a way to ease discomfort by changing our posture. When in pain, when joints are not moving properly, and when muscles are not working the way they should, we find ourselves slouching or moving in a way that will cause further harm to our bodies. With posture and movement coaching, we give you simple and easy cues to correct your posture.
